I bought and aftermarket one that mounts under the car, not sure the brand as I bought it a about 2 years ago and I haven’t touched the car for a year or so lol. I bought a ton of parts for it and got super busy at work so it’s been on hold.

For those of you who don't have a project to work on, there are lots of places offering free web based training. Never hurts to learn or update a skill.

I started doing the Mastercam ones. http://university.mastercam.com

Had to change up the steering geometry. Wrapped the headers and I couldn't move the shaft away without the joints binding. I added a middle joint which calls for the use of a supporting hymn joint. Just need to weld in a mounting plate and tighten it all up.

I'm also adding rivnuts to all of my through-bolted panels to make removal/install easier (and cleaner).

Don't be scared to weld any connections that just use a set screw. I don't know brand it was but my pal trusted a simple set screw on his 4X4 steer setup and it failed during a race. Maybe he forgot to weld it? Skipped instructions? Badass, oldass, truck!

My project of swapping buggy engines is underway. Engine is out of the street buggy. Replacing stock clutch with something meaner before reinstalling.

I thought about it. The only way the joints will come apart is if I pull the whole column out of the cab now.
