    Default RPO codes from VIN?

Is there a way to get RPO codes from the VIN? I bought an 87 GTA and would like to do a partial restoration. It has some rare options and is a unique color.

    Here is the VIN

Take to dealer and they can run a VIS report.

The trim tag on the cowl panel will list the RPO codes later they were moved to the door jambs and underside of the trunk lid.

I think it is too old for VIS or it's got a typo. Sorry.

    Thanks for the effort.

The VIN is correct, i copied and pasted it and ran it through vincheck. There is a high probability this car is a 1 of 1. I was hoping I could authenticate it.

I checked the glove box door
the rear cargo area glove box lid
    the doors
    front seats are gone
    original carpet is gone

Any other ideas? My assumption is the RPO label was on the glove box lid. I could not locate a build sheet anywhere either, but the interior is missing many stock pieces.

Check the top of the gas tank for a sheet? I think I found one under my rear seat but if that's gone that's the only other place I can think of to look.

I think on my g-body it's on the underside of the trunk lid.

    Cool

Have any photos or any other paperwork for the car?

Is it possible to identify the original selling dealership?

I didn't run the codes, but from my research it is not 1 of 1

From what I can see it is...

    68U -- Exterior Color, Dark Russet Metallic -- 372

    It is equipped with...

    U52 -- Instrument Cluster, Electronic -- 5,352
    PW7 -- Wheels, 16" Aluminum Diamond-Spoke -- 17,240
    QDZ -- Tires, 245/50-VR16 Radial -- 20,607
    L98 -- Engine, 5.7L V8 TPI -- 7,818
    MXO -- Transmission, Automaic Overdrive -- 27,007
    AU3 -- Door Locks, Power -- 23,704
    A31 -- Windows, Power -- 28,813

    Interior is one of these.
How can I tell which one? What is the difference between Camel and Carmine? Rear seat is present and appears to be corduroy? Door panels have leather. Seats have power hookup and lines for vac lumbar? Has overhead console and auto dimming rear view as well.

    62B -- Trim Combination, Camel Cloth -- 185
    62C -- Trim Combination, Camel Cloth -- 1,105
    62D -- Trim Combination, Camel Cloth -- 3,995
    62E -- Trim Combination, Camel Cloth/Leather -- 65
