    Default Who's been out fishing already this year - lets see some pics.

    Got up early and went out today.

    I use an orvis 3 wt rod or a browning gold series 6 wt rod. Tapered weight fwd floating fly line and 3 or 4 lbs test for a leader.

    These are good for smaller bass and gills:



    This for the big boys:



    Caught a bunch of smaller ones:




    A whole mess of gills, when ever you're fishing poppers you'll always catch a couple of them.




    And of course a couple of nice ones.

    Heading to Canada for a fly in fishing trip in July. Walleye and Northerns. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures.

    Awesome, northerns are a blast on a fly rod. Biggest thing I ever hooked a fly rod was a 50" gar pike.

    5.5lbs smallie from clair
    2.5 large from local lake.

    Those are badass and alot of fun. Soon as i finish up my car I wanna go a couple times, where were these fish caught?

    1badair thats a nice smallie!!! 5lb small mouth are a handfull, Prolly one of my favorite fish to catch!

    we didnt catch many that day but all were 3-6lbs
    the water was muddy and still kinda cool. probably gonna go back to clair this week
