Local Shop - Machine Work - Refresh LS2/3/6/7 Block

Suggestions please.
KaTech, Lingenfelter and Livernois needn't be mentioned.
I could buy a new car for what those charming people want to freshen a motor.
I don't think anything is hurt, but this is probably a good time to freshen up rings and perform a health check on various internals.

In all honesty, I'd just do it yourself. If the motor is out it's a long day to tear it down and put it back together.

Livernois was actually one of the best quotes I got when I was looking to freshen my motor. No matter where you go, machine work is not cheap if you want someone competent working on your engine.

I know (2) guys who do great work and are reasonable. They build racing and stock engines and are very reliable and have all the equipment to do everything including crankshafts. But, both are in the Lansing area. I have their numbers if you are interested.

Edit - I also know a guy who builds engines at on the side - He has worked at Katech for about 20 years. He used to work at my friends engine shop, that's how I met him.

The Professor at Enginecraft would be my choice. Very reasonable too. Honestly, haven't talk to him in years, but I can't imagine him doing anything else!

In all honesty, I'd just do it yourself.

If I wanted my car to explode or end up upside down at the end of the main straight
at Grattan I'd send it to a real maestro like Kenny at Mufflers & More, where customers
are "treated like family" (ass raped and left for dead).
