Hiring employees will take time/ money/ energy. Its probably easier and cheaper initially by using volunteers to get things going then work on hiring employees as time/ money/ energy allows. Use the off season to handle those issues. You have to interview people/ background checks/ drug screens/ etc. Milan will not go back to normal operations overnight. Gotta give it some time. PLUS its already gonna be late in the season before you know it. Might not be the best idea right now to hire a full staff for a short season. Maybe hire a few key people now to keep an eye on things then hire everyone else when the 2022 season gets closer.

I see the volunteering working as more of a Grand re-Opening. It will remind the community that Milan is getting ready for business and I'm sure the volunteers will spread the word that the place is getting cleaned up which will drive some excitement into racers and fans. I would hope the volunteers get something for their time, free season passes or some concessions, track time for 2021/2022, something of that nature would be a good gesture.

Saw it, but it is behind the paywall. Sometimes their articles show up on the yahoo newsfeed after a few days and you can read them. I'll keep an eye out.
