Camaro Superfest 2021 is cancelled now, too. It’s an outdoor event, no reason to cancel.

Are they just expecting low turnout? Or maybe they can't get any vendors to show up - that is usually where the bulk of the money comes from. I can't believe that everyone who was going to go would not still go. Either that or is it a liability issue? Usually hosting a big event like that, you need liability coverage. Is the insurance industry shutting this stuff down? Or maybe the township or city just slammed the door? There has got to be a good reason - I am not buying that they are worried about another lockdown, it just seems like a convenient excuse.

http://www.camarosuperfest.com/CSF2021Home.aspMichigan, for better or worse, is still a state that has many gathering restrictions. While we were hoping these would be eased in the coming months, our covid cases have spiked recently and we just can't count on our state government to ease-up on those restrictions enough to allow us to gather in the numbers we want to see. We do not want to or will not, put on a sub-standard event.
I understand if it’s for money purposes but I would bet that there would still be 500 plus cars. I don’t see how any rona related restrictions from the state would affect it. Riverside Park in Ypsi is massive. Like I said, I was just in the UP for Jeep the Mac and there were 700+ Jeeps and they even did a meet and greet event inside of Little Bear Arena. Granted, we weren’t packed together but every table had people eating at them.
