    I wasn't assuming anything with that statement. Its the truth. In my Escalade which I run 87 instead of the recommended premium, unless its a dollar cheaper a gallon its not worth it. The MPG don't lie.

    Don't you spark knock like crazy? I had a 6.2 pickup and that thing would sound like a can of marbles if I didn't run premium. It was definitely worse in the winter and only slightly bad in summer, which was counter intuitive to me at least. GM must crank up the timing when it is cold, and pull it like crazy when hot.

    Nope. Runs great. It's not like I'm out racing it. I towed the GN on my 2200 lb trailer down to NC with it running 87 the whole way. No issues except the A/C compressor burning up./
