Not sure the point of your article. Are ridiculing GM for building incomplete trucks while Dodge is just shutting the plants down? The whole big 3 is hurting from this, and they are all dealing with it in different ways. Ford is building incomplete trucks too. I remember seeing the vidoes of full lots downriver. The whole "Chip shortage" looks like a subtle China trade war to me.

Agreed with the subtle trade war part completely.

I have ZERO brand loyalty, I'll tell ya that each of the big 3 is doing what they can to get trucks off the line and moving around the chip issues. Ford has been building incomplete trucks for a while now. GM I'm sure (as the pictures suggest) is doing the same. Ram likely had enough inventory to make trucks for now. My only complaint is that those trucks are in a grass/mud field and already getting a head start on rusting away. But their usual paved lots are beyond packed so I'm sure they're just doing what they can. If it wasn't for freight costs, the GM plant in Defiance is nearly a ghost town. They could use it for storage. But that comes with the added cost of getting them to and from there.

Are you running for "Chief Doughnut Officer"? They need a brainwashed Dodge fanatic and it pays $150k per year. Bravo if you can land it! Ignoring the harsh reality of the current automotive landscape will probably not help your cause though.
