    Default 1955 Gasser Project

New project I picked up yesterday. VIN is a 6 cylinder 1955 Bel Air, but it's going to be a '55 210 trim Gasser.

The plans for this are more traditional and a lot nicer than the other one. No patina or LED head lights on this one.

My grandparents owned a 1955 2 door post 210 in India Ivory. That's what this is, and will be. (albeit a gasser) First stop is my buddy's body shop for prep and paint.

That's different! Going gasser takes some creativity in all the right spots and I don't really know where those spots are! A customer of mine keeps talking about a CTS-V gasser and it makes my head twist....I asked... "Metalflake?...white walls?? ..Zoomies? Fake tunnel ram??"

Yeah I think the purists would puke at that, hell I might puke at that. haha I'm going to try to keep this traditional - but I might have a few modern convinces like a digital dash... we'll see. Its a shit ton of work.

The Tri-Fives of the gasser era were all built around trying to make the cars (especially the front ends) light weight, helping with weight transfer (tire technology sucked) and bending the rules. It was an evolution, to my understanding. Much like a lot of racing.

Be cool to end up somewhere like this when I'm all said and done:
