I tend to agree. I think having so many rentals last year (between Motown, Varsity, Stenod, CorvetteForum, etc) hurt overall turnout.

There's just no incentive to wrap up projects and get the car ready for Race Day when there are so many rentals.

FWIW, I'm thinking of having a separate tune made for club races. If I can pull enough power out to run mid 11's I'll get by the tech folks and have fun collecting points. We'll see.

Just turn the boost down to 8-9 lbs......It already has the best tune in it.

I've thought about it. If I were to get into drag racing I'd need a cage, new seats to accommodate a harness (and I love my existing seats), a trailer (which would need to be very light as all I have is a Trail Blazer to pull it with), a CCW drag pack, etc.

Plus I'd have to find a place to store the trailer.

    Cage - $2,500
    Seats + Belts - $1,000
    Trailer - $4,500
    Tires - $2,500

So basically another $10,000 to play a few times a year at the track. I think that's a bit extravagant.

Not to be a dick but I have to ask this. If you do not want other people to come to your rental then why even announce it here?

Its not a rental for me its for the syty homecoming but I might open it up to 10 or so cars to help cut the cost down because its a Saturday Milan raises the rates
To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?" You can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."

Ask Phill... I thought I saw his car with stock seats????

Belts are about $125 apeice from RJS...

You really don't need tires and rims... I thought you had DR's already? And trailer can always rent one... Your Trailblazer can pull that car and trailer without a problem... It's a vette! It's light!
