Default Steel braided fuel line install HELP!!!

I cannot get my steel braided lines, with the ends wrapped in electrical tape (one time around) to fit in my fittings! It's pissing me off. Does ANYONE have any suggestions or tips as to wtf I am doing wrong??

And get yourself some regular -AN cutters. Jegs has a nice little kit with cutters, the above tools, and -AN wrenches.

A good set of cable cutters is the only way to fly. No need for tape. Cuts fast, clean, and does not fray the cable. This works better then tape, cut off wheels, hack saws or whatever else people use.

you can also get a set from summit

Also don't use the super cheap no brand braided hose. That stuff frays off super easy, even with good cutters. Use a good quality braided hose. Earls, aeroquip etc.

to be more serious, like they mentioned clean cuts are a must, i taped mine and use a metal bandsaw at work.

i also used a dab of dielectric grease to help with the friction, just around the inside of the hose and the barb, don't get it on the outside or you'll have a hard time holding the hose.

I have been using a cutoff wheel on a dremel that worked pretty damn good, but it leaves like one or two tiny f'n strands out that are grabbing on to the 6AN fittings. I am going to call my MAC dealer today to see if he has an AN cutter on his truck I can get instead of paying and waiting for one to ship.

For hose I am using it's Summit brand -- it worked great for me in the past on other stuff...But thats when there was a guy helping me at the last shop I worked at and he did the plumbing while I worked on the wiring for what we were doing...
