    Default Need Eastside Suspension help!

I've got a '98 Z28, and last spring I put a Moser 9" in the rear. For the most part I've had wheel hop ever since. I'll think I've got it fixed, then it'll come back. I've wasted too much of my time jerking with this thing, it's time for someone with some experience to check it out. I've had it, I need a shop recommendation. Late last summer I took it out to CARS and Sean was helpful, but that's a pretty long haul for me and I don't have the time like I did then.

Everything in the rear suspension is adjustable. I've tried pinion angles from -2 to +2 and everything in between. I've tried putting the LCAS from the low reloc. bracket hole to the higher hole. Per Sean's suggestion I replace the rear progressive rate springs with cut stock springs.

I'm not a big fan of the Spohn T/A that I have, but I hooked awesome with my 10 bolt with the same setup. For some reason the axle seems to move around a lot, to the point where after setting my control arms I'll take it for a ride and the wheels won't be where I had set them when I get back.

I'm in Mount Clemens, something in that general area would be great.

    Thanks,

    Josh

The problem is the moser housing, the suspension geometry is F'd up!

That's what I've kind of thought from the beginning. But some guys bolt them in and have no issues, while others get to the point where they give up(I'm close).
Eventually I actually shortened both the lcas and the t/a because every thing got pushed at least 2 inches towards the front of the car compared to the 10 bolt.

I've got a friend that just made a contact with a guy that is willing to look at it on the side, so I'm gonna see what he says before I head over to VRE.

I'm sure your future customers will appreciate it.

Everyone is sure it's my angle, so we'll see. My buddy is taking it to a guy next week who seems pretty confident that's the deal, I'm skeptical till it's fixed.

Eric, I'll be stopping in monday to talk to you, probably sometime between 1:50 and 2:20 depending on when I get out of work.

    My skepticism was well founded.

The shop I took it to couldn't figure it out either. A weird thing that keeps happening is that the wheel base changes from the time I set it to when I check it after a drive. And yet everything is still tightened down.

I decided to eliminate the one thing I modified in hopes that was the issue. So the spohn t/a came off and I put on a BMR tranny mounted adj. arm today. I also think maybe I was using the wrong set of mounting holes for the spohn arm. But it didn't matter, I took it for a spin and still have wheel hop. The wheel base changed too, but not as much.
