I've really just started messing around with my XSi. This is a jellyfish at the Toledo Zoo. I believe I had the "nifty fifty" lens on the camera when I shot it.
Here's a crazy fish... also with the nifty fifty.
I tried doing a few things with them in Photoshop but other than playing with things like Auto Levels, I have no idea what I'm doing in PS.

Grats on your new setup. If the lens was around $100 it's not the "nifty".
Canon 50mm lineup.
50mm f/1.8 - Thrifty 50 - $100
50mm f/1.4 - Nifty 50 - $400
50mm f/1.2 - Richie 50 - $1,400

Correct! TONS of people call the 50 f/1.8 the 'nifty fifty' so dont feel bad..its a very commen mistake..haha. Heck, i still call it that sometimes...

Thanks. I've shot with the Richie Fifty a few times. It's a nice enough lens, but not $1,100 better than the Nifty, IMHO. I'm thinking of adding the 70-200 f/2.8 II to the bag & that should be it, forever.
