Oh, boy. I just got 10 rolls of film developed and scanned. I still have probably 15+ yet to go.

These were shot with my '82 Minolta XG-1 and 50mm f2.

    Same camera.

    It's either Kodak Tri-X or Ilford HP5 film. I can't effing remember.

Screw it. I have so many photos to go through still...

Dream Cruise shots. I still have another roll somewhere.
    Minolta XG-1, 50mm f2, Kodak Portra 400.

    Blake's cider mill.

    Fill 'em up.

    Then cap 'em.

Thanks. Shot them with this '82 Minolta XG-1 and Kodak Tri-X. My grandpa bought it for my dad in 1982, and I got it about 10 years ago. I recently started using it, and it's a lot of fun.

I was just talking to my wife about picking up a nice camera (instead of paying for pics or using our cell phones)

That does pretty well for its age.

Any digital SLR in the last 10 or so years is going to give great results. Fuji and Sony are killing it in the P&S department. My digital camera is a 12 year old Canon 5d I paid $400 for. You really don't need to spend a bunch of money.

I bought a Canon Rebel Ti film camera from the Salvation Army down the street for $7. Then I shot these with it -

The reason I started shooting film is because of my nephew above. There will be an entire generation of kids without any baby picture of themselves. Phones go missing, photos get deleted to fee up space, hard drives crash, etc. That photo you have in a shoe-box of great aunt rita as a baby in 1926 was probably the only baby photo ever take of her, and you never met her....but it still exists.
