Yeah, that's probably the only way. I've been trying to pan at around 1/30 lately. Try to get alot of blur in the background so needless to say, I have a few throwaways

Yeah, you might want to look into changing your settings.... Isn't that the best? Firing off like 15 shots, looking down...wtf?!

my LCD is so effing small, and the sun was so bright, and the car was so small at 10mm.... i shot 170 of those so-called "panning" shots, and i got like 3 that were decent. lol.

3/170, those aren't great odds. Do you know the proper way to pan?

    yes.

    still need moar practice though.

    yeah, it has a FMIC.

and $300,000 (used) sounds real good.

this shit was too shiny. we need some HUGE softboxes or something.

Make sure you have your camera set on AI Servo for panning / moving subjects. I find it easier to have 1 focus point set as well to make sure I'm focusing on the right object. If the cruise is thinned out like that you should be able to get alot of nice shots.

I need to upload some more pictures as I've taken a few lately.

I'll make sure it's set to that, Scott. I always use a single AF point though. Heading back out there in a bit.
