Me wondering around the outskirts of Mount Pleasant...

Abandoned insane asylum anyone? Built in 1890...burned down..then rebuilt in 1900. Been abandoned for YEARS and years and years...


















All taken with my new 17-50 f/2.8....


Its a beast of a lens for the cost! Plus, the newly released model is specifically for crop body only....woot woot!

i want to get a couple pics of abandoned looney places, frame them and hang them in my basement.... my buddy has pics of some very old places and the pics look sweet. He as well has a camera that takes very good pics

that place is sweet, when i lived in southwest we used to take are bikes in there and build ramps and get chased by bums. great pics

I will say having a nicer camera allows you to do a little more things and have a little nicer image quality than lesser expensive cameras...

But at the same time, someone could have a 8k dollar camera set up and not know anything about the composition of a photograph or anything like that and the pics would look like crap.

Moral: Even if you do not have the nicest camera in the world, you can still get nice shots that are compositionaly very pleasing. So go out and shoot with whatever you have. It might be fun and self fulfilling if you could get some of your own pics and get them framed.
