I have a VERY good MOPAR guy that can make you a killer cam should you ever choose to change the one you have.

I think your buddies are right here. low 11's to high 10's is realistic.
whats wrong with a comp cam? now the lifters are another story.

They are going to use a Richmond gear this time, again with the cryo treating and Mikroniting. Should be good for some mid 8 second passes or better. I think the shock of 5-speed is just too much for anything other than a "pro Gear".

if your using the stock fuel pump that could be some of the problem too. it has the pressure you need but not the volume

I broke a strange pro street gear in my car. I think it was damaged from other parts though
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

Well, I had a couple of their "custom" grinds and every time I switched to a independent cam guy, the car magically went faster.

The last time I had a cam done, I called them (Comp) again and the guy literally asked me, what engine, what gear, where did I want to shift it, and that was it. He said, hold on a minute, and rattled off some "custom grind" number. After that I will NEVER give them another shot at it. Now if I was a big name racer that had tons of publicity, I am sure they would take more time and come up with something great. however, their phone techs suck at best, and thats all the average guy gets.
