because it is. its "sunken in".

heres an example of flush and low.

the only issue with low and flush, is you cant run SHIT for a tire.
18 x 10 +6 (225/40/18) they camber the shit out of the rears to help them fit. but that jacks up your traction even more.

heres the same type of car with tire.

17x10 +25, 275/40 no camber. toss a 20mm spacer, and you effectively have a 17x10 +5. same width as the car above. but with 0 camber and real tires, you cant go low. not at all.

its all give and take. i want to go low, cambered, wide and stretched. but i want traction. you cant have it all. its a pain in the ass. you sacrifice looks for performance. and vice versa.

the biggest difference. most of these cars are running a 2.0 turbo motor. making < 300hp. you and i both have over 400hp. thats one of the issues. (sort of.)

That looks nasty as fuck though!

Run a wheel that is flush, not sticking out. Lower based on clearance, not pick a tire based on making it tuck.

Mini truckers run massive wheels, both in diameter and width. You don't see them having to stretch tires to tuck them.

thats the thing though jason. these guys ARENT tucking wheels. if you tuck the wheels in nissan land, you fail at wheel fitment. you are also failing to realize that those wheels are essentially the same size. the only real difference, is offset, camber and tire size. if the white one ran 225's and threw some camber and a spacer on it, the tire would fit under the fender, and the wheel would fit flush with the fender. just like the first one.

and yes, you need a spacer. i think the part you're not realizing, is that if you add a spacer, AND go lower. your tire is going to melt the paint off your fender, and eventually slice your tire open. you'll need to roll the inner lip of the fender, and most likely leave it at the same height.

Dane, the thing is in Nissan land, they run wheels that are too wide for the car, thus sticking out past the fender. Then, to be low, they need to run tires 3 sizes to small. That's failing at fitment. Jon could add an inch to the width, and run a different backspacing. That would be proper fitment. See charts below(Fox based but, you see how to properly fit a wheel).
