As a member of Corvette Club Norway, I visited the garage of another member.
He is quite experinced as a carbuilder.
He has modified a 72 Opel Rekord and fitted a chevy V8 with BiTurbo and intercooler in it.
A 302 chevy with Garret T04 turbos, Zytek Formula 1 engine management system, Carillo rods, Wiseco pistons, Brodix Heads, Jesel Gear drive and rockers, Competetion cam etc. This engine dynoed 880 hp at 5000 rpm. The teoretical top speed was roumered to be over 300km/h

The he took a Mercedes E-class(W-124) and put in the engine and driveline from a Corvette ZR-1.
Is said to have had 410 hp and topspeed of ca 300 km/k

He has also modified and owned a Corvette C2

He has now this T3 VW bus.
It has a tubocharged Chevy V8 with intercooler. Has now around 1100 hp.
Everything under this car is modified; Shocks from Öhlins custom suspension, new floorpan under the car designed to direct airflaow to where i wants it. The car wieghs around 2000kg which rises with 600kg when you get to 200km/h(he has driven it faster). It has seperate airintakes to each turbo, a third one to the intercooler and also one for the radiator(the air rom here is released out in front of the front wheels). And much much more, sadly I can't remember everything.

He is now starting to build a 64 C2 Corvette, target here is around 7-800 hp and be able to outrun any supercar on the road even when the corners start.
It is going to be widened about 5 cm to fitt the wheels(12,5 inch rear and 10,5 inch front) using the curves and the fiberglass original on the car. The rear is to be shortened, and front to be lowered to prevent lift.

    And now the pics
    The trip to the garage

    The T3 Caravelle

    The engine

Some of the interior, the engine in front of the car iss planned to be in his Corvette

    Default My new amcar

Bought myself a "new" american car last year, a 86 Corvette Indy pace car convertible. All original.
Picked it up this April, since it's over 30 years old now and was cheaper to register this year than it was last year.

Default Cruising with Corvette Club Norway April 16

Late April I went cruising with Corvette Club Norway's Vestfold,Telemark,Buskerud chapter.

A little cold , but good temperature in the sun.

We drove from Sem down via the coast to Sandefjord, the via the coast to Larvik, then to Nevlunghavn before we ended up having cofee/eating in Helgeroa.
    Drove around 100km that day.

First weekend in June Corvette Club Norway had their yearly carshow from thursday to sunday.
This year it was in an old miningtown, Røros. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Røros

I drove up on thursday beeing a little nervous since it was my first trip to this event and did not know anyone there.

In Jessheim I met up wis 8 other Corvette's

When we drove off we had at least one of eache generation of Corvette except C1.

We had a small stop in a place called Rena

Then we had lunch in Koppang.

On the way from Koppang to Røros we cought up with 9 other Corvette's

Coming to the hotel I found a Corvette wich was very similar to mine

    Allready a few Corvette there

And the the sky opened... with thunder and lightening.

Later in the evening the raining stopped.

    To be continued....

Default Wings and wheels, Lunde Norway 2016

This weekend there was wings and wheels in Lunde, Telemark. A car/bike/airplane meet.

Since it was 60 year jubileum for the Troll car, they have managed to collect the 5 cars that is known now at the carshow.
The car was quite advanced at the time. The only car of fibreglass outside USA.
    Had an 30hp engine.
It was crashtested by driving it through a telephone pole, one was even owned by a persen who moved to New York where it was until the 90's

It was also made a boat when the carproduction fell through

This was built in the eighties and still looks the same

Went cruising with Corvette Club Norway's VTB part.
Started in Sem and drove via a detour to Torp airport where Dakota Norway has a DC-3 they fly with each wednesday during the summer
Sadly not the best weather, got some raindrops on the way and a shower while we were in the air.

Were at 4th of july cruising in Lillestrøm.
This was the 27th time of this.
Norway's biggest cruising, they close some streets downtown of Lillestrøm where we can drive.
    Around 3500-4000 cars each year.

Sadly I only had time for one round of cruising and did not get oics from that.

Ended up in a gasstation where a lot of other cars gathered
