    Default '34 Ford...Grand National

    http://smokyhillrestoration.com/

I didn't see a lot of info on their website, but I saw this in Hot Rod this month.

Bill Hart at Smokey Hill Restoration wanted a small but powerful engine for his radical '34 Ford pickup project, and Jack Merkel Racing supplied the answer with a 3.8L turbo V-6 from a Buick Grand National - ready for 31 psi. The HartLine Performance custom turbo setup with a single ball bearing compressor and Bell Intercooler was made to resemble the original '34 radiator. Altogether Bill's looking for 1,000 hp with more than 25 psi while running on pump gas. That sounds so cool we almost forgot to mention the truck itself. The 2-inch-chopped, 10 1/2 stretched, suicide door cab and Pro Picks bed sit on a TCI four-link frame with a pair of Steve's Restoration front fenders.

I love the modern powerplant in the cool old school ride thing.
It's my fault for making it look so easy.

I really like that setup - except those tail lamps - are those from a 1999+ Beetle?
