Cutting springs

I have cut springs on several cars. It is safe but depending on how much you cut the ride quality goes out the window. But for cheap and dirty lowering, you can't beat it.

If you use the Mach 1 springs you will be fine because they are a linear 250# spring. You should not cut progressive springs. Spring rate will not change on a linear spring.
