Default Buying a lawnmower this weekend????

Figure with our tax return gonna buy a lawnmower this weekend, figure get some good prices before it becomes spring time and they go up. Whats the best brand out there??? Asked some of the guys here at work and it seems to be spread out amongst Hondas, Toro's and Craftsman.

We have a new craftsman that works great. Or old one was about 20 years old and you couldn't kill it. the front wheel drive thing crapped out a few years ago but the mower still fired up and ran like a champ. We bought the new one for my dad a few years go for fathers day. He refused to use it because "the old one worked just fine". It ran great but leaked oil like crazy. I finally put it to the curb behind his back and the trashman got it before he realized it.

    I'd recommend craftsman mowers.

John Deere makes an excellent mower. The one I use to use was about 20 years old and the only thing wrong is the front drive tires are almost bald.

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

THere really isn't much to a mower, just stick to something with a dependable engine on it. I don't like all the power drive crap because it moves too slow for me.

I have my grandfather's John Deere. The thing is 35 years old and still runs like a champ.
