I really dont see how it could not have been any easier. I merely followed their detailed directions, asked many questions before install and was cake. I even spoke personally to the Owner when he was at Autorama last year. He was super helpful. If it were not for me being ultra anal with me hiding all the wiring I could have done it in less than 3 hours. I was looking into the Holley Sniper Setup's but were on a long backorder back then.
Yeah, it's probably a case of either one will work. I've seen people do some stupid shit on the Holley Sniper pages as well. So really either system is probably only as good as the installer. LOL. This will be fun on the 84 though.

I read a part about adding a coolant temp sensor. Is this only for fan control or tuning parameters? On my 1969 Mustang, I already have a coolant temp sender in the intake manifold and another coolant temp switch in the thermostat housing to control the cooling fan. I don't have any other ports for another sensor.

Yeah, the Holley has a coolant temp sensor for tuning parameters and it also can control the fans. Going to eliminate my standalone fan controller and let it handle it.

Fitech uses a coolant temp sensor and complete fan control as well
