Nope. We built a few years ago so the meters were the new digital type. We have a 200 amp and a discounted 100 amp service so we needed two transfer switches for both meters.

I'd stay away from Generac. Kohler is a better option at roughly the same price point. Onan (Cummins) if you got the money...
I think this was one of the best purchases I ever made,
and it was 17 years ago. It has always started with one
pull. Powers the whole house (back feed).
13 HP, 7500 watt.

What don't you like about the Generac? Looking at hooking my parents up with a basic 6k watt natural gas unit to replace their Generac 5k watt portable gasoline model. They already have a transfer box and just need to power the essentials but want something with continuous fuel supply and electric start. Figured for ~$2k plus install supplies you can't really go wrong.

When I was shopping for a generator, a lot of install companies refer to them as Generjunk. I don't know how true or accurate that is though. I ended up going with this one. Only used it a couple of times for a few hours so far, with no problems.

Just got power last night, can't believe it took so long lol
We still don't have power at our Troy building. They marked it as power on twice in the last couple days. Each time - wrong. This morning it said "power's on." Wrong. Whole street still out. Arg.
Same thing happened to someone I know in Ann Arbor. His whole street is out yet their system keeps saying it's up.
