    Default My 25.5 coupe project

I haven't posted any updates for quite awhile on the coupe, mostly due to it being stuck in body work limbo, but it's back finally. Here's a quick recap on the project!

Tennessee 1992 coupe roller I bought last fall, ugly but solid.

The car spent last winter at Team Z for 25.5 cage, mini tub, 9" axle swap, aftermarket steering coulmn, motor/mid plates, and a few other upgrades.

After the chassis work was complete, I had a friend help with some metal work; stretching the rear wheelwells to fit a 29.5X10.5W tire, and smoothing the underhood panels.

The car has been at another friend's garage most of the summer getting body work completed, then I had my painter buddy take it from there and get the shell completed so reassembly could start. I decided on a color change, and am happy with the results so far!

Getting there slowly. I've had time to work and the motor, trailer, and tow rig while the car was gone this year at least! The plan is to get the car out for spring testing, and play around in Milan's true 10.5 Saturday races next season. -Joe

Thanks John! The bottle bracket is from Chassisworks, and the dash is Schoneck Composites.

I have the 440" windsor out of my old red all motor coupe I'll be using. It has been fitted with a dry sump oiling system now and a few other changes, and the trans is a Reid case powerglide by Lang transmissions. Shooting for bottom 8's, maybe a high 7.XX?? The car will have to weigh 2850 for a small block nitrous combo in TT5, but hoping actual weight will be much less.

Absolutely beautiful car, I love it.

Are those the M/T 29.5x10.5W tires on it in the pics? I can't get them to work on mine.
