Default The most overpriced car of all-time

I know that this thing is full of awesome technology and I'm sure it's very fast, but last night at the NAIAS I looked at the Lexus LFA and I can in no way, shape or form ever imagine anyone stroking a check for $400k for something that looks like this:

It's just a mind-bogglingly expensive car to being with, and when I look at it, I can't help but think that at best this thing could be priced somewhere in the GT-R, ZR1, 911 Turbo realm. I mean $400k! Base MSRP is supposed to be $350k and I looked it up and this car is over $500,000 in Europe. Holy shit!

    You could buy this

    or this

    or this

easily for that kind of money. Shit, you could buy an SLR with a ZR1 to spare for $400k.

Maybe I just don't get Japanese cars, but that's just crazy money for something that looks like that. Would I love to take one for a few laps? Hell yeah. Would I spend more for that thing than a freakin Carrera GT? Uh, no.

Agree on the pricing...give me a ZR1 and a Ford GT, and spend the rest on trackday tires.

Top gear did a pretty cool test on it last week.

Thats if the throttle doesn't stick down the back stretch at 180mph and you end up a pancake on the barrier wall.
