Default Do strange shocks need the washers or no?

Got a set of adjustable strange front shocks I'm tossing on my 89 fox with a new strut bolt kit from team z. The washers they included are about twice as thick as they need to be. Thee are getting installed on 96-04 knuckles. Anyone know?

are you talking about the struts? you only put them in if needed. i think the 4cyl spindles are skinny there so the shims are needed, and with the v8 spindles its not. as long as they tighten up your good

yeah i meant struts. Ive got lakewood 90/10s on it now and it needed the shims, but the stranges are a little too narrow for them to fit, but still somewhat loose. just tighten em til they bend closed?

Mine on my 99-04 knuckle fit perfect. I wouldnt bend them closed, try and find some correct thinkness washers.

ive got the same knuckles as you I believe. 96-04 are all the same as far as I know. there was no gap or washers needed when you installed them?

how much room is needed? ive opened them up before i used a big socket and hit it with a hammer and it will open it so you can put the washer in if needed. but if its close id tighten it up if it were me and run it. have done it many times before.

If they fit over the spindle snug then obviously they aren't needed.
