The pixels on an OLED TV provide their own lighting, whereas a typical LED TV uses a LED backlight to illuminate the pixels. With OLED, you get a much better contrast ratio without any backlight bleed. You also get better viewing angles with OLED compared to LED.

When I bought my 4k tv about 6 months ago I looked at the OLED. We wanted 65"+ and the price for the LG one was about 9,000. I paid 5k for my curved Samsung. The OLED ones though are badass, just didn't want to put 10k into a TV.

Sheesh. For that kind of money I'd be sporting a 4k projector with a 120" glass bead screen. Glass bead screens are the bees knees, and you can build them for less than $200.

We're still renting, so till we get in our next (and hopefully final) home I'm not getting something that I could potentially not have the setup for. Basements down here aren't easy to find so there's no guarantee our next house will have one and I'm not setting a projector up in my living room.

Yup. Can only have walkout basements here. So you're either in the hills or on a retention pond to get a basement around here.

Wow, I only paid $498 for my Vizio 50" 4K, might not be as nice as the
OLED ones, but for the money I believe I got a very nice set up.

Threaded barrel is due to arrive thursday, you'll have to come by and check it out...truly badass to hold, a bit more than the Ruger we talked about, but definetely not Wilson Combat or Ed Brown....in price or quality, but great middle of the road 1911 that will be a joy to shoot suppressed.
