    Default custom sway bar

I am running into some clearance issues on a project of mine.

How do I narrow a solid sway bar ? It's a 1.25" addco bar that needs to be 1" or so narrower to allow proper tire fitment.

Cut and reweld ? What about the spring nature of the bar ? Will heat kill it ? Any other options ? Thanks !

Try calling Addco and see if they can modify it for you.

Did the wizard ever get back to you about that brain?????

Shipping both ways + cost to modify (doubtful they will even consider that) .... I'd rather pay someone locally But thanks for the idea !

does the whole bar need to be thinned down or do you need to just clear it in one spot?

The bar needs to be shortened in the middle 1-1.5", so that I can gain at least 1/2-3/4" of clearance on each side.

Don't cut it along the axis since stress is highest there and a weld will never live. What has worked for others is cutting and welding at the ends of the arms (close to the pogo sticks) where the stresses are lower. Do you have a pic of the bar? Do the ends point outward?
