    Default Fox quadshocks + slicks??

I've heard a lot about people removing/reversing the quad shocks for tires. Will I notice any difference down the track if I take them off?? or reverse them? I still have to put the loop in my car this week, figured I could do this as well.
    Any advice would be helpful

    FYI - Bolt on 302, 3.27's, went 13.65@100 - 1.9 60ft.

    Thanks

OK. I'll display my ignorance. I'm putting boxed, non-adjustable, uppers and lowers on my '88.
Other than weight, space for bigger tires, etc. what's the argument against keeping the quad shocks?

They do nothing? That was my understanding.

Quad shocks were installed due to the flex in the stock (factory) rear suspension components and bushings. Aftermarket (beefier) suspension components do not flex/ move around like the factory stuff does. Therefore, you don't need the quadshocks when you install aftermarket stuff. There may be a more scientific explanantion to it than what I said, but that's it in a nutshell.

They were there to controll axle wrap/wheel hop due to the junk suspension parts ford put on teh car. If you put aftermarket stuff on they serve no purpose.

Thanks for helping the poor "bolt-on" guy.

I'll get some lowers coming at the end of this week.
