Im curious what it would look like without the door moulding
Look at the build tread for 82hatch. It's called time for paint. He went without the side moldings and I added a tape stripe inside the body detail line to make it look right. Go toward the end of the tread. It gives you the general idea even though it's a hatch car. Good luck!
Leave 'em on. It would look kinda odd without just the door mouldings. I'm sure I could get whomever an nos pair. Just lemme know.....

yep leave them on........i have 2 in excellent condition.....cheap..
I would also agree with the other guys to leave them on. Their part of what completes the styling on those cars.
Leave them on, looks so much better with them on.
