New toy I picked up. It's a Smith & Wesson Model 19. I looked up the serial number and its a 1985. The gun was MINT when I got it but knicked the finish on the tip of the barrel. I bought it used (obviously) and you couldn't even tell it was shot. The original box is mint too. Leads me to think that whoever owned it just let it sit in a box for 20 years without even touching it.

I had a model 19, very nice guns, and I couldn't believe how nice it felt to shoot

I really like it. This one is a 6" barrel. I wouldn't mind picking one with a 2" or 2 1/2" (can't remember which it comes in) barrel in .38 for a carry piece. I'm defiantly a fan of revolvers over semi-autos. I found some really nice gel grips for it but this one has to stay wood. I'd look for a SS unit for a carry piece though. Technically, that makes it a model 66 but its the exact same gun except for being stainless steel.

From an old CF thread on post a picture of your gun with a kitchen utensil and a calculator...

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Very cool man! I didn't think you went old school on me when you said you bought a .357 6-gun. I was thinking you got a SS with a 2" or 4". That's bad ass! How's she shoot?
