    Default beater drag cars

so after watching and hearing more about the motownmuscle pinks car... what does everything think about a dirt cheap spare parts carbed drag car.

    options:
    t-bird
    early80's camaro
    g-body
anythign else full frame and cheap running.

    left field options
    240sx
    ae86 corrolla

first choices would be spare parts cheap chevy 350 or 302 on spray... last 2 would be 4's but built different.

would really really like a car thats a nasty sleeper that's all i care about... im putting the serious money into a talon right now to run as a street/strip fwd car but would still liek something rwd v8 and dirt bone cheap.

I plan on doing this over the winter.

I know I'm gunna lose my mind this summer with no car so I plan on puttin togther a shit pile for 2k and ahve it run good lol

I got a few 302's laying around I know where a good set of heads are cheap. lil nitrous keep it a 5 speed car, no cage nothing fancy just a old 4 cylinder car converted prob.

Should be able to make a nice lil 10sec rip that way

I think where most of you have your problems with all of this, is the fact that you really don't fully understand the internal workings and dynamics of the common combustion engine. There is no magic tune up, and motors are stupid. The only time a motor will complain is when something is wrong.

In reality it's never cheap to build any drag car. All the little stuff and weird ass fabrication that somehow gets involved ends up costing enough to make the cheap car not so cheap.
