yeah no shit! i thought the junk in my sig was, if not i must be almost stock daily driver parts. you guys are nuts. oh well, the new motor piggie bank is growing waiting for a rod/piston to let go. so are we all going to the chitown/detroit meeting at 131 or where ever it is shortly?

You can run alum rods for 200k miles as long as you aren't taking them up to yield every time you take the car out. The 100-200 pass per set is because you are really putting a duty cycle on the rods but street cruising where you aren't making any power doesn't even give them a workout. The guys at BME have alum rods in their daily driver pickup trucks and would love to tell everybody about how badass their rods are even in legitimate street cruisers. I will probably check them every 1 or 2 seasons but I doubt I'll be replacing them anytime soon.
I'm obviously not going to daily drive it but I wouldn't daily drive it even if it was a stock ls1 in there because I just don't have the time (or $$$ for the gas). lol

I need to see a picture of this other guy's old motor for comparison. My money says anyone that says that it looks the same has never even seen enough of that dude's motor to know that the motor in these pictures is different.
