    Default V-6 to a V-8 swap?

    How hard would it be to swap a 306 over into my mustang that is a v6? I know alot needs to be done, i am just woundering what are some things i will run into... My step brother have a 306 and i was thinking with in the next year or so i would do the swap..

    I think a new kmember would be all you need.

    Find a clapped out v8 car to strip for parts. Things like accesory brackets,steering shaft, etc start to get pricey one part at a time. but a non running v8 rust bucket full of parts for $500 is a good investment for a swap like this.

    To set the engine in you just need the right kmember and mounts. To get it running is another story.

    If it is carbed than it wouldn't be too bad. fuel press reg, ignition, exhaust, and it all depends on if you want it as a DD...

    yea its going to be a DD i dont want to get to crazy with anything. Just a nice set up that will start everytime and be taking for nice days...something to play with

    if you want a good DD than I would check on here or at a junk yard for a fuel injection set up. You will need the harness, computer, distributor, upper and lower intakes and fuel rails. There is probably a few guys on here that have almost all that stuff they want to off.
