Man accidently shoots himself when using gun to hit another man in head

FLINT — Police have released new information regarding two men shot Monday night near Atherton East apartments.
Mickey Jones, 20, is in critical condition after he was shot in the chest at about 5:30 p.m.
James Lofton, 20, is in good condition after being struck in the head with the gun.
Jones was shot as a result of the gun firing while it was being used to strike Lofton. The incident took place at 2900 Kleinpell Street.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact Flint police Sgt. Terry Coon at (810) 237-6800.
