Default Spring rates for coil overs

Im looking to put coil overs on my beater Mark 7. The car weights up around 4000lbs, and I know a lot of people run 450lb springs up front. Yet, no one has run coil overs in back. With a few bolt in rear kits popping up, does any one have an idea what a good rate would be? So far, the highest rate I have seen is a 175lb. Which, is clearly not beefy enough.

The car is not a track car, it doesn't need weight to transfer, it just needs to be lowered a good 3-4".

Also, is there any place local that sells springs by themselves? In case I do get a low rate kit, I could just swap them out.

I think TeamZ will sell you just the springs you'd have to call and ask.
