98% of fords are still on the road, the other 2% made it home or are chevy powered!
From what i have read, and understand.....it all depends on the direction you are going with the car....handling or hooking.
But:
Tires--most important aspect of either direction you are going
Frame ties--most people swear by them, others say not necessary, i deem it cheap insurance and needed strength.
Shocks-- important either way
Handling-- Sway bars, springs, panhard bar, properly setup shocks for springs used, LCA's and better bushings throughout, mtr/trans mounts.
Hooking-- Drag spring/shocks, panhard mainly to center rear end, and LCA's to prevent flexing of factory units.
LS1TECH.com has alot of info on the various setups and what works for guys, it will be alot of reading over there for ya, that's usually where i check.
DA rear shocks , spohn or bmr dragbar(unless a full race car then Wolfe ) lca relocation brackets
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.
Are you looking to hook at the track or just driving around town? Judging by your avatar I am guessing hooking. In which case most of what was mentioned above should cover you.
I second the subframe connectors. If you are making any kind of torque with your engine set-up they will drastically reduce body twist. I know because I was dimpling my rear fenders due to the torque the turbo's added.
Lower control arms and relocation brackets will keep the rear planted. Sounds like you already have a drag torque arm bar. The tunnel mounted one was more for drag cars.
Pics are available on BMR, UMI, Spohn, etc websites. Not hard to find the parts and pics on cars.
