Thread: Silver Lake/West Michigan Sand Dragway July 3rd

Default Silver Lake/West Michigan Sand Dragway July 3rd

Had some fun last weekend. My youngest boy is the "speed demon" out of the kids. Couple pictures of him...

Had a slight carb problem, which made it idle real high, so he rolled past the beams...

    As serious as racing gets...

    Staring down the competition...

    Where'd they go??

    A few of mine....
My farmers tan is better than your farmers tan!

In case you still think your farmers tan is better...

And....the best for last. No nitrous, small transbrake launch, baby it the rest of the way, and he had the biggest smile the rest of the day.

Cool stuff. What size is that mini four wheeler. I was looking to get something like that for my boys. Jeep looks like a blast to race!

Their classes are broken time in time intervals. Doesn't matter what tire(s) you run. I think they have 2 classes per time intervals, one for pro tree, and one for sportsman tree.

It's a 90cc. One of those Kazuma quads. Rumor has it, the engine is the old Honda 90. Thing has taken a beating and never had 1 problem. The rest of the quad.....well, you just need to pay attention to it. Little things have broken, small bolts (like the skid plate) have came loose. You also need to keep up on the steering as it tends to loosen up. But, it was $600, so we went that route because we didn't know if he'd really like riding, so I didn't want to spend $2,000 on a new brand name quad. Did that with my oldest boy. He rode a few times, and didn't care to at all. He's a sports nut and doesn't care for that stuff.

I never get tired of your pics. That jeep is so sweet.

A few weeks ago I had your farmers tan beat, but it has evened out a bit.

Thanks guys! I have some Drag Radials for it now too, so I would like to try a little N/A 1/8 passes with it. We'll see how it goes though
