    If you read the first page you will see she mentioned that they sleeved the block.

    They said they had a mishap so they had to sleeve the block......??

    5.3 can be bored to a 5.7 with stock sleaves

    No need for 8. Stock LM blocks can be bored to 3.905 safely.

    ya that would only be .059 ...so whats the most you would want to go ?

    I'm thinking not much more than 3.905. Cylinder walls start to get a little thin from that point on. I don't remember what thickness our cylinders measured at. I'm getting old...LOL

    Just found out that the instructor did purchase the engine and he's pretty excited about putting it in his 55 Chevy. It makes me feel good to know something I built is going into a cool project like that. I also get to tune it when I get back from Florida. I'm loving all of this good news.
