I received the Scottrodfab panels, trans stuff, and a mock up block courtesy of Oldbutnew. Just waiting on the intercooler to start fabbing turbo mounts.

cool build, excited to watch the progress
The shortblock took little longer than expected. Some of the changes:
- Engine builder recommend tool steel pins, ordered Trend’s with the Motown discount
- Rod bushings needed to be replaced and honed to size
- Crank was undersized for balancer not providing the interference fit– welded and reground to size
The assembly was balanced and everything looks good now. On to the next issue was the heads, the seats looked like they weren’t pressed in the heads correctly so after reviewing the issue with the builder we recommended new seats and blending into the combustion chamber with a new valve job. I get a call later in the day and find out of the heads are cracked on the exhaust side the builder recommended not using them. I did a quick google and sure enough it’s a common problem with Canfields with part numbers 20-450-58-0. They fixed the casting issue and revised the part number to 20-475. Fixing the heads would cost upward of $1200 so we opted for a set of AFR 205 with 58cc chambers. I’m going to drop the heads off this weekend to get the o–ring grooves cut in and hopefully have them mounted next week. The exhaust ports are raised .125 so hopefully the turbo kit will still fit.
I'll post pictures of the Canfields once I pick them back up from the builders.

I called Comp for custom turbo cam and they recommended an off the shelf cam. The difference was minor in price and said I didn't need a lot of lift for the horsepower goals. Here is the grind.

What I think was strange is the overlap, it should be Overlap = exhaust closing + intake opening so according to the cam card.
Overlap = -3 + 2 so -5 degree? Maybe I'm missing something but it seems odd.

I like your choice on the heads! Are you still doing the twin setup? Regardless, the .125 raised port should not affect the fitment. I would highly recommend (If you dont already have the headers) to use the 3" bolt pattern. It will make it 12332423 times easier to get the header bolts in, especially if you are using a 1 3/4" primary.
Pretty much have but replaced with new. Don't be jealous when I'm ready to race and you're at the Kentucky derby wearing a pretty hat.
Make sure you register your wagon for the PDC car show.
Unfortunately I'm going to use the single this year but I know what your saying.
