Seems like more trouble than it's worth to me.

But this giant hassle was not disclosed before cashing my check or during application.. I got the blue strip stating it wont be in LEIN as well. But who wants to simply get pulled over for a license plate that is supposed to be legitimate.. I didn't get pulled over for any traffic violations... just for the plate.

Yep, it happened to me in my old '77 Trans Am with a RWB 1976 plate(it had the correct 77 sticker and was registered). I got pulled over, with lots of odd questions. The officer had never even heard of registering old plates, and took quite awhile looking into it before he let me go...
No weird questions. Just said he pulled me over because plate was not in system. Took about 10-12 mins in hid car.. came back and said have a good one. That was it.. I also have a CPL and carry all the time. The plate on my DD would let them know in advance I have a CPL. With thid plate showing no record found.. they dont know what they are walking into if they rarely deal with authentic late model plates.
It also said the in the paper work that the LEO is supposed to call the station and concact Lansing first before doing anything. So if the police officer knows his stuff...... it SHOULD be all good.
The problem is that there are too many cops who probably dont know and wont care to know at the time of getting pulled over. I dont see many pros of having to go thru this as opposed to a historical plate.
They also say in the paper work the vehicle is only supposed to be driven during or on the way to special events.
