The infamous Gurkha LAPV Light Armored Patrol Vehicle, as seen in the blockbuster film, Fast & Furious 5 featuring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Originally manufactured in Canada, the Gurkha Armored Vehicle is mainly designed for Government and Military applications. This specific truck is a genuine restricted government only vehicle that has been demilitarized so civilian ownership is completely legal in all 50 states. These trucks were initially ordered by the Dept of Defense for security patrol and rapid response teams around sensitive and classified locations here in the southwest, This vehicle was also used in anti terrorism and counter narco trafficking operations along the southern boarder.
The government took delivery of this fleet in 2010-2011. The Gurkha LAPV Military Version is built on a 2007 Ford F550 Chassis and Powered by a Ford 6.7 L Turbo Diesel Engine. The level of armored protection normally makes these vehicles prohibited to be purchased by civilians. Most of all the cabin is B6 & B7 .50cal ballistic rated. It has enough armor to defeat all small arms, including a surface to air missile strike and rocket propelled grenades. The reinforced floor can even withstand and survive improvised explosive devices including most land mines. It makes a Hummer and Civilian Armored Trucks in its class look like a tin can. For added security, this Gurkha has been ordered with an armored machine gun turret that can rotate 360 degrees and gives the end user the capability to mount their favorite belt-fed machine gun to the top. Even a custom canopy has been added for shooting in extreme summer conditions along the southern border.
No expense was taken building this beast which has an original MSRP of $699,999-which doesn't include all the upgraded bells & whistles that were added after delivery. For extreme off-roading at high speeds, ICON shocks & suspension were designed with absolutely everything reinforced and custom hand welded. Restricted Law Enforcement use only Red& Blue LED lights have been installed completely around the truck, including Vision X LED Light bars on the front, rear and sides of the truck. Duel remote spot lights have been added to the front-as well as a remote intercom and PA system which includes several emergency sirens, alarms and whaler. The interior dash houses a row of auxiliary switches that can also control the entire lighting system.
This Gurkha can defend itself from a total of 9 gun ports. 2 rear machinegun ports on the back door for chase fire, 4 side rifle gun ports for cover fire and the drivers side & passenger side are equipped with pistol gun ports. Also the top hatch can be used as a gun port-so this vehicle can defend itself from any direction. Each door has an emergency latch and interior red lights for night time staging, it also has a black out auxiliary toggle for covert operations at night. The rear cabin has tactical jump seats on the sides to fit 5 soldiers with weapon and ammo storage below.
Driver and passenger leather captain style seats with a 8" screen for the rear day/night vision camera, Kenwood GPS/IPad/entertainment interface head unit with surround speakers. The Gurkha has brand new Continental MPT81 tires with Hutchinson run flats and Wheels. Only 12K miles. Meticulously serviced by the government and always garaged and stored in a climate controlled, humidity free environment with zero leaks and absolutely no issues and perfect all the way around. This vehicle is currently being stored at the FBI headquarters in Arizona. If you would like more pictures please call or text. Cory 602-332-4066
Here's something you don't see every day...https://nmi.craigslist.org/cto/d/v8-...621810156.html
Not everyday but I've seen a couple. Has to be a fun ride
Still a focus at the end of the day
So then, is Sudden Death, just a Mustang II "at the end of the day"?
