I think black is the wrong color for it as well. But I prefer the C7 too.
1999 Z28. A4. Magnaflow catback and a lid. 60k miles.
The idea is ok but the proportions came out super whack trying to make the package more usable. When the car passes you on the street coming towards you there's a point where the car looks impossibly awkward at the rear. The rear itself is...not good either.
The front engine car proportions were classic.
Looks exactly like all mid engine cars to me? I like how it looks it just doesn't look like a corvette to me. I think GM should have kept a front engine RWD sport car and done a halo mid engine, but the entire point was to make a mid engine performance car the average guy can afford.
I pulled down a side street off of Woodward and saw a 70s/80s brown on a new vette. It was absolutely disgusting.
That was what a lot of people though they were going to do. Base model Vette be the traditional RWD platform and make something "different" for the mid engine. They could've called it a stingray or only offered the mid engine with the Z06 package.
With that all said, the car is cool but its not my favorite vette. The only appealing part of the mid engine setup is the price.
The Boys in Dearborn got it right ....
