Driven hundreds of cars. Worst transmission I've ever experienced.
My wife had one for about 6yrs, other than the trans, the car was fine for the most part.
She purchased and extended warranty, and that was running out.
Since the car had to have the trans rebuilt or whatever every 6 months, she was getting a bit paranoid.
Then a few weeks ago, she went to look around to see what else she would be able to afford just to get out of it.
Came home in an Accord...
"Some settled for $20
In 2020, Ford settled a class-action lawsuit filed in 2012 involving more than 2 million consumers,
making payments to those who applied for relief ranging from $20 to a total buyback that could exceed $20,000."
So did anyone here get any kind of settlement from Ford?
Lawyers made out on this ... car owners didnt
Driven Crazy
Overall I am pretty bummed about it.
Between the Focus, and then most American car manufacturers not making cars anymore, I'm almost being forced to buy something foreign.
I'd prefer to keep my money here in the USA, but I don't have the money to buy an SUV, afford insurance on it, and keep fuel in it just to bomb around town and get back and forth to work.
I have no need for a big car and no desire to own a truck.
Curious just which model transmissions are in the lawsuit. 6f35's?
One article I read said the "DPS6 dual-clutch "PowerShift" transmission"
