Default 1957 Chevy Bel Air Autorama Prep

Hey wanted to start a build thread of the prep work we are doing on my dads 57 Chevy. Little back story on the car is that my dad bought this car in 1991 and restored it with my uncle in 1992-1993 he showed the car at Autorama in 93 and 95. This car I credit for getting me into cars. We took it to St. Igance many times and had a lot of great memories. Dad sold the car in the fall of 95 and up until Dec of 2023 it was owned by the same family we sold it to. The owners son ended up selling it and we were able to get it back. The car was not really touched in the time the owners had it. It still had the General XP 2000 tires on it that my dad out on it in 1991. Before they listed the car for sale one of the tires took out the LR qtr panel. When we got it back we had the qtr panel pulled and repaired. This year we are planning on taking it back to Autorama as it will be 30 years since dad last showed the car there. Since buying it back we have added 4 wheel disc brakes, new 17 inch torque thrust wheels. Updated the headlights and wiring. We are getting ready to pull the motor to re-gasket it and re-detail the engine and engine bay.57-1.jpg57-3.jpgthumbnail_20240421_194925.jpg
