Believe me I wish I had a hoist. And SERIOUSLY considered just getting one.
Got a nail in the back tire the last day I drove it so they had to come off anyway. And yeah it is to drop the fuel tank.
What do you want me to do to your car? I am getting plenty of practice!
You are correct sir.
Thanks Matt! It is progressing, but not fast enough for me. I want it done! We'll see how far I get this weekend. I have no plans other than working on the car for 3 days!!!! Woohoo! OH, and there will be some time for my girl in there too....

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.
are you thinking of the ex?

Made some good progress last night. Many thanks to James (n20junkie on LS1tech) who came down and assisted me. We dropped the oilpan and drilled and tapped the oil feed and drains. We also dropped the fuel tank so I can install my new pump. Prior to his arrival I re-assembled the motor mounts with the urethane inserts. They look nice now that I painted them! My new plug wires and plugs also arrived via UPS today. Woohoo! It's coming together! Should see lots of progress this weekend as I have nothing planned except for working on the car. Hoping to have it as close to complete as I can by Monday.
Anyone know of any muffler shops or other places that can bend up custom exhaust? I would like to run 3" duals (no mufflers for now) out the back of the car. Called a local shop I know but they were not too keen on making me a custom set-up. I don't want it all welded as I need to be able to drop my driveshaft and stuff to get the trans out (as I know there will probably be clutch issues next year). So I am looking for it to be clamped together or something along those lines. I am hoping to have the car done for a roadtrip in the middle of Sept and would like to have some exhaust so the trip is tolerable.

For your exhaust, call Keith's muffler in westland. He does a ton of autorama car's and is a biker/car junkie like all of us here. Does great work and does a lot of custom stuff
